Craig Knox

B.S., Chemical Engineering
Brigham Young University

Bio:

Craig Knox joined the Voth group in 2004. He currently studies multi-scale molecular dynamics (MD)
simulation of proton transport in polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cells. Craig enjoys the
interdisciplinary nature and diversity of MD simulation, chemical physics, and computational chemistry
and engineering. After graduation, Craig hopes to continue his research in MD simulation as a chemical
engineer in academia or industry; he also hopes to teach and train future scientists and engineers.
Some of Craig's past research projects include the study of soot nanoparticle thermal conductivity using
non-equilibrium MD simulation, black liquor pyrolysis and gasification, thermophysical and transport
property prediction of pure fluids, and semiconductor nanocrystal synthesis and characterization.
