The international workshop is intended to bring together experts from both theory and experiment in the field of water research in order to critically address some of the recent developments in the field of liquid water and aqueous interfaces. In particular, special effort will be devoted towards discussing recent claims regarding the structure of liquid water and the local structure and propensity of ions at aqueous interfaces. Two different forward-looking discussion panels, one in theory and the other in experiment, are scheduled for the last day of the meeting.
The workshop proceedings will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Physical Chemistry. Invited speakers are expected to submit their manuscripts at the meeting.
